Back in Berlin/ Back at Sing Blackbird

Back in Berlin, did not tell anyone really .. so the other day i went surprise my friend D. at her café, Sing Blackbird. Was funny to see her face when i came in :) Ahhhh it is good to be back "home" ... i enjoyed a very nice coffee and a delicious chocolate cake!

Good day !

Today I got some unexpected news ... mail from the Sorbonne Paris .. and I got in !!! They were supposed to give us an answer end of the month .. so that was early. I could not believe it, I am so happy I get to move back to Paris very soon .. ahhh Paris ... So after I got the news I drove to Sbb, see D. and tell her the good news :) then she sent me on a flower mission, as the shop needed some fresh new ones :) it was fun preparing little bunches of flowers for the tiny cute vases. After that I got to try the new dish they are offering now, very good, as usual. And to finish a good coffee in my favorite Parrot cup while reading some magazines and listening to some french music ! Good day Good day !

Hey, that's my bike !

Today the monthly fleamarket took place at Sing BlackBird, it was quite busy, clothes, shoes, accessories everywhere. And today i got to take my new bike for a first ride ! i really like my bike, it is fucked up, pretty used, not the kind of bike you want to steal (i guess!). Somehow i like it more than my other more expensive and fancy holland bikes .. it is just like my "little buddy" that will take me anywhere for the summer. Oh, and today i wore J's socks that i borrow the other day .. they are soo comfy and cute... :)

Tarte Tatin !

Once again I spent the afternoon at SingBlackBird Café, for lunch i tried the Mess Bowl (1st pic) .. very tasty and super healthy. Then D. asked me for some "french pie" recipe .. first nothing came to my mind, but then i remembered the Tarte Tatin !! so i ended up looking for the orginal recipe on the internet, i even found a website called "www.tarte-tatin.info" :) shortly after we were making THE pie .. it is quite a long preparation .. but oh god ! that was worth it !! once the Tarte ready, we prepared ourselves nice plates with some vanilla ice cream and went to the front terasse .. Heaven :) for a first try we did very well. everybody who tried it could only compliment on our french pie, which made D. and i pretty proud of our job. ;)

Cocktail in the sun

Lazy saturday afternoon at SingBlackBird Café with D. As the sun would not really show up on the café terrasse, D. and I took our chairs to the pavement, facing the sun. I liked that i did not do much that day, just hanging around at the Café, chatting, checking their new vintage clothes&shoes, reading magazines, making pictures etc. The streets were pretty quiet, that was a great relaxed saturday. Then D. made us her new "cocktail", which consists of: pineapple juice, coconut milk and a little bit of vodka :) also D. played some Samba music which just completed the whole "summer feeling". Great Great !

Parrot Fever

Since i told S. about the Parrot cup, how cute they were, i had to take S. to Café SingBlackBird to see them live :) i very much like the place, i like to go there from time to time.  After going to the turkish market, we went there to warm up a little bit while having a nice coffee, and checking the second hand shop. Also we finally bought our tickets for the Wu lyf / Mit concerts next week !!
