Back !

It has been a while since i used the Holga camera ... last summer exactly .. I don't know, i just could not be bothered to use it anymore. But now i felt it is time i clean off the dust on the Holga and today (oh, finally!) i bought the films .. Also i borrowed the Yashica from F. i will give it a try .. i am pretty curious about the results ..

The last two holga pics from my last film. Those were taken in Paris in October. I actually happen to be on both pics .. well .. you have to look close to see that i guess. First pic was taken somewhere close to Oberkampf, second at Place des Vosges. 

Last Summer

Ok .. so i finally got my Holga pictures developped. I guess it was time .. the film was still from last summer. And it is actually the first time that i use the square format, and i must say i quite like it, the only trouble you have .. is if you wanna find a frame .. It is anyway nice to wait months before you develop your summer pics, i totally forgot what i had been shooting. God .. i am kind of getting Nostalgic when i see those pics .. ahhhh la la .. 

Last summer in Berlin

Those pictures were taken last summer with my Holga camera in Berlin. I am looking forward to this summer  !! going back to Berlin next week !! for ever and ever !

Today i finally booked a flight back to Berlin. I left last september and was meant to be away for a few months .. well it has been now nearly a year and i am so looking forward to being back ! Berlin ich komme ! ♥♥♥

nous avons passées l'après midi au parc, à profiter du soleil. j'ai aussi pris beaucoup de photos avec mon Holga .. dimanche réussi.
we spent the afternoon in the parc. just chilling in the sun. i also made a lot of Holga's pictures .. coming very soon. perfect sunday.

heads in the clouds

La première photo a été prise à Berlin, Kreuzberg, l'été dernier, à côté de mon ancien "chezmoi" et la deuxième à Paris, Montmartre, à côté de mon chez moi actuel. Photos prises avec mon Holga.
First picture was taken in Berlin, Kreuzberg, last summer next to my flat back then and the second pic was taken in Paris, Montmartre. Not so far from where i live at the moment. I took both with my Holga. 

Pilou Sacré Coeur !

J'ai pris ces photos avec mon Holga, comme vous pouvez le voir. J'ai comme à mon habitude utilisé la superposition et aussi un + : le filtre bleu.

I took thoose pictures with my Holga, as you can see. I, as usual, used the overlay effect, and also a little + : the blue fliter.

A cold afternoon at Père Lachaise. January.

D'autres photos de la journée passée au cimetière Père Lachaise avec mon ami H* en Janvier . Il faisait plutôt froid, mais j'ai tout de même pris des photos avec mon Holga. J'ai fini avec les doigts gelés, mais ça en valait la peine. On a rencontré un drôle de chat ainsi qu'un très curieux guide touristique.

 

Some further pictures of the day spent at Père Lachaise with my friend H* in January. It was rather cold but i nevertheless took pictures with my Holga camera. I ended up with frozen fingers, but it was worth it. We met up with a funny cat and also a curious tourist guide.

Scandinavian street names /holga

Ces photos, je les ai prises avec mon holga, et c'était bien la première fois que je n'ai pas rencontré de difficultés avec la pellicule. Mon appareil est désormais entouré de scotch, je ne veux plus perdre le cache, trop de pellicules ont déjà pris la lumière. L'année dernière, je suis allée me promener au nord de Berlin avec une idée bien précise en tête : photographier les noms de rues scandinaves. Donc j'ai pris les panneaux en photo tels que : Kopenhagener Str. Nordkap Str. Isländische Str. C'était une journée chaude du mois de Mai, 2009. J'ai beaucoup aimé cette journée. J'ai fait des doubles de ces photos, que j'ai ensuite mis dans un grand cadre, c'était un cadeau d'anniversaire pour un ami proche, qui lui aussi, aime la Scandinavie. Le cadre était tellement grand que j'ai eu du mal à l'emballer ! ensuite j'ai du aller à pied jusqu'au bar où nous avions tous rendez-vous, bien sûr il fallait qu'il pleuve des cordes, le papier a pris la flotte et mes grandes qualités d'"emballeuse cadeaux" n'ont pas pu être apprécié..

Those pictures i made with my holga are kind of the first ones i got without any trouble, indeed i used to have problems with the film. Now my camera is wrapped in tape so that i can not lose the camera cover again. My films are safe, they won't get any other direct sunlight. Last year i went for a walk in the North of Berlin, i had a clear idea in mind : photograph the scandinavian streetnames. So i shoot the streetsigns such as Kopenhagener Str. Nordkap Str. Isländische Str. It was a warm spring day, 2009, i enjoyed it much. I made copies of those pictures, put them in a big frame, that was a birthday present for a close friend, who also loves Scandinavia. The frame was so big that i had trouble wrapping it into some giftpaper ! then i had to walk to the bar we were all meeting up, of course it had to rain like hell, so my amazing wrapping skills could not be appreciated, the paper was just destroyed..

Upside down

Sens dessus dessous. La première photo a été prise à Berlin l'été dernier dans le parc de Arkonaplatz, après une petite virée au marché aux puces d'à côté. La deuxième photo est prise Place des Vosges à Paris cet hiver.

Upside down. The first picture was taken in Berlin last summer in the parc by Arkonaplatz, after a little walk through the fleamarket. The second picture was taken Place des Vosges in Paris this winter.
