On holidays with Dad

I landed last night in France ... ahhh Douce France .. ♥ ..  staying first at my dad's, we are driving tomorrow very early to the Alps .. ahhh can't wait .. 1 week, snow, ski, fondue, glühwein, montains, sun .. Today we went to the supermarket (looks like heaven in France, i forgot how great they can look like, gosh i would have bought aaall the food !) to get ourselves some food for tonight, and my dad suggested a 'Mont D'Or' (melted cheese) .. with potatoes (and a salad!) yeah .. make it light ..  i wasn't so convinced about it .. like "are you sure you wanna have a Mont D'Or ?, i mean we are not even at the mountains yet, and it is ****ing 15 degrees ! " tz .. Mont d'Or is in the fridge ..

K's cupcakes

Yesterday K. invited us over for her birthday, she had made very cute little cupcakes, not only were they cute but also they tasted fantastic ! As there was many left, i got to take some with me at home :) Perfect for the cold snowy day we have in Berlin .. a little colourful cheer up, Merci K. ! :)

La Story

I have often been asked "why Margaret ?" , it started some years ago, back then when i used to live in Spain, Madrid. Guillermo and I made once a road trip during the summer and out of nowhere Guille started calling me Margaret, then i 'd call him Bill (don't ask me why, i just don't remember, perhaps never really had a reason) so then we were "Bill and Margaret on the road" .. crossing La Mancha on our way to Valencia. And since then the name followed me .. :) Voilà for La Story.

The ride

Sometimes even if you know how something is gonna end, it does not mean that you can't enjoy the ride. I found that pic this morning and i found it pretty cute and funny, not that i am a Valentine's day fan, i don't care much actually, but i thought it'd quite fit. Valentine s day makes me mostly think of my little sister who has birthday, and who, when she was a kid, named the cat couple whe had at home : Valentin et Valentine. Actually no one really knew if it was a couple .. might have been two dude cats even ..

It has been a while since i used the Holga camera ... last summer exactly .. I don't know, i just could not be bothered to use it anymore. But now i felt it is time i clean off the dust on the Holga and today (oh, finally!) i bought the films .. Also i borrowed the Yashica from F. i will give it a try .. i am pretty curious about the results .. 

Un petit Nest

Café Nest in Berlin, Kreuzberg is an easy cozy place i like to go to. I especially like to sit by the window, in particular on very sunny days ! They have huge wooden table, perfect for big family, or big bunch of friends. Also i saw today in A.'s plate .. food looks very tasty !!!

The concert last friday was GREAT !  I had been looking forward to that concert for quite some time, i expected the Maria Am Ostbahnof to be quite full .. but no .. which was then pretty cool, one could stand pretty much in the front, and : e.n.j.o.y. Which is what i certainly did ! Great music, great performance ... ahhhh ... give me more !!! :)

Happy Chandeleur !

In France, the 2nd of february is called 'Fête de la Chandeleur'. Officially it is is the Catholic holiday of Candlemas, a feast to commemorate the purification of the Virgin Mary and the presentation of the baby Jesus forty days after his birth. It is also known as the 'Crêpes Day', because on that particular day lots of family in France will be making and having crêpes. So well, i just used that excuse to make crepes today. Also we have a new crepe pan at home which is just fantastic, normally the first crepe you make always turns to be a mess, but mine today was just perfect (must be the pan ..) Also, eventhough on the pics you see jam, sugar etc .. i always and only have Nutella on my crepes .. because that's the real stuff ! :) Voilà.
